FPL_Robbo reviews GW1 and looks ahead for GW2

Pundit's in-house expert has done it again. FPL_Robbo is back with his tips & tricks for the Fantasy people out there. The young lad is number one in our league, so it might be worth giving this a read?

Anyway, take it away, Robbo!

Hello everyone,

Here's my first fantasy gameweek review of the season and a look ahead at gameweek 2.
Gameweek 1 review:
The Cherries on Top!

Bournemouth faced Aston Villa at the Vitality Stadium on GW1 and many people had Aston Villa to win but Bournemouth came through with a 2 nil victory. A lot of FPL managers had Leon Bailey in their teams but the Jamaican struggled to find his feet during the game. Bournemouth will be glad to get up and running as they travel to the Etihad in Gameweek 2

Schar Screamer!

Fabian Schar scored a thunderbolt during Newcastle’s 2-0 triumph over newly promoted Forest with Callum Wilson bagging the 2nd. Toon’s defence was very strong in that opening game with 3 of the 5 magpie defenders collecting bonus points! I would recommend buying in Callum Wilson and retaining Kieran Trippier for the next game as Newcastle travel to face Brighton at the Amex.

Fulham's Dry Pitch Earns a Point!
Fulham were expected to get annihilated by Liverpool but to everyone’s surprise the Cottagers managed to earn a point after Mitrovic’s double secured a 2-2 draw. Fulham managed to hold their own in many parts of the game and sent out a message to the rest that they are no whipping boys. They travel to Wolves next and I highly recommend Mitrovic as Wolves are looking leaky at the back.

Potter Waves his Magic Wand
ETH’s Man Utd career got off to the worst possible start, losing to Potter’s Brighton. A Pascaal Gross double secured the win for the seagulls despite a late comeback charge from the red devils. Brighton face Newcastle next, in what should be an action packed match that could go either way! I would recommend Robert Sanchez as a potential goalkeeper option for gameweek 2.

Here are a few tips for gameweek 2.

I’m going with Kulusevski over Luiz Diaz at this point in the season, from a Liverpool perspective I predict most of the action will be coming down the right with Trent and Salah. Where as with Spurs its distributed across the whole front 3!

Tottenham’s next 4: Chelsea, Wolves, Nottingham Forest and West Ham

Liverpool’s next 4: Palace, Man United, Bournemouth and Newcastle

Jesus to Rise Again:

Although Jesus blanked in Gameweek 1 he proved in the game that he is going to be a serious problem this season. Therefore instead of transferring him out and wasting your free transfer give him time. This Gameweek at home to Leicester, I believe the gunners will get a result with Jesus capitalising!

Captain choice:

Majority of people will be going with Salah or Haaland for this weekend but Pep Guardiola has said he will rest Haaland in winnable matches, therefore this Gameweek at home to Bournemouth he may fall victim to "Pep Roulette". Salah is nailed onto start so I would recommend going with him! But to be safe Captain one and VC the other so if Haaland doesn’t play it will fall back onto Salah to get the double points!
